Eleven years ago, Precision Door of Raleigh installed a Hormann garage door on our house, with a lifetime warranty . We had 10 years of great service from the door, but then it began to rust in places on the inside and outside, causing unsightly dark spots. We called Precision Door and they contacted Hormann for warranty support. Today, Precision Door installed a replacement door provided by Hormann, even though they no longer carry their line. Neither Precision Door or Hormann made any money today, but both companies have earned our trust and gratitude. I would recommend both companies if you need a new garage door.

Brandon Mills replaced the bad parts and explained what needed to be done. He was very polite and efficient. My only complaint is that I thought the total bill was pretty high. He came when he said he would and took less than 1 hour.

Richard did an outstanding job reviewing the findings on my door and replacing the broken spring and installing a new weather seal. He is very professional and takes pride in his work. Precision Door has maintained our door since 2003 and did a door overhaul in 2011 which included replacement springs. The invoice was clearly marked Lifetime Warranty Parts and Labor. I was extremely disappointed when Richard explained the labor is not longer covered due to a company buyout or whatever. The lifetime warranty was one of the main reasons we decided on the door overhaul in 2011. I don’t care what the transpired with the change of ownership. Existing agreements should be honored under a grandfather clause. This is the reason I am giving a low review, even though the repair work was top notch and Richard is an outstanding technician who unfortunately had to deliver the bad news to us about no labor coverage. You can adjust my billing and I will be glad to give a 5 star review.

The local manager called immediately and the issue was resolve and it was all due to a misunderstanding largely on my part. I promised in the original review to change my rating to a 5 if the issue was cleared up and it was to my satisfaction. Turns out the company was standing by the original agreement from the start. I will continue to do business with this company for my future needs. Thanks to Richard for the great service work and to Allison for the prompt telephone and resolving the issue. We appreciate your business and we look forward to working with you again when needed.

Trevor came out. He was awesome! Explained everything and did the work necessary to fix our garage door in a very fast time-frame. It was a Sunday so he had to drive a bit being on-call, but was still prompt. I loved the service I got. The material they use has different grades, so you have options. Clearly you do get what you pay for...so I went with a higher quality for less maintenance and longer lifespan. Thus there was some sticker shock. Nonetheless I couldn't be happier and was very pleased.

We decided to upgrade our garage door for safety, insulation, and to protect ourselves from the wind we get in NC.
