After making contact through the internet, I received a prompt reply and an appointment within 1/2 day was scheduled. Nick called to ask if he could come a few minutes earlier than the scheduled window. Nick was a true professional, made time to ensure all my questions were answered and provided a quote at the end of the appointment. I could not have been happier with this overall experience.

I couldn't be more pleased. Prompt and professional and able to make all the repairs in one visit......no need to order parts or make a second visit. I particularly liked the garage door opener design. A single solid track makes so much sense. Lastly, the attention to detail left no corners cut and a door that opens like new.

My experience was not the best. After paying the $100 service call fee, we were told that our warranty didn't cover the part needed to fix my garage door. We were quoted a ball park figure of $800-$900. We have a warranty that doesn't cover whats needed, go figure.

Tech assessed the door issue and then called American Home Shield before discussing with the customer. Said the door was too heavy due to insulation that I added. Total weight of the added insulation was on the order of 6 pounds on a door that weighs nearly 200 pounds. As a result of he way this was handled, AHS did NOT honor their warranty. The tech then proceeded to tell me the repair costs would be on the order of $1350. I asked them to leave. I will use another company for the repair.

When a Home warranty company asks us to attend to their customer, we are obligated to assess the situation as an independent third party. Once the problem is assessed, we are required to contact the warranty company. Based on their contract that you entered into, they decide if the problem is covered. We apologize that you wanted us to operate in ways that we are not allowed under that contract. The difference in poundage that many springs lift is 5-10 pounds. We regret that you so adamantly disagreed and asked us to leave.
