I called precision because there was a sticker on my door that said “no service charge with sticker but it made no difference with pricing which I thought was high. I was aware of the up sell attempts which if I agreed to all would have been more than $400 for 2 side springs and new cable. I have had new openers installed for less than that. Springs $40? Plus cables $10? Plus 1 hour labor hardly adds up to $450. Now my door emits a loud noise at the end of the close which the technician said was due to the molding around the door; that molding has been there for over 30 years with no noise...some how the new springs have bulged th door panel which I understand could happen on an old door but technician said work on door had nothing to do with it. Strange the noise started today. I used a rasp file to give the door more room and put a shiny magazine cover there to reduce the rubbing and the noise is subdued for a while. I don’t expect anything for free; but next time I will not be so trusting in selecting a garage door repair company
