Precision Garage Door Service Of Massillon

We had been in our new home less than a year when, on a Friday night, our garage door decided opening only 6 inches was good. Our cars did not agree! We called a well-known door company but they told us they work only Monday through Friday (this was outside of their work hours so it was kind they responded) and recommended we call Precision. We called and they said they could get to us the next day, Saturday. Austin Z. was our tech and he was great! Before he arrived, we were sent a notification of who would be coming to our house and a picture of him. He called to let us know he was only a few minutes away and I was not ready yet, so he cheerfully offered to give me just a little more time. He arrived, showed his ID, and got right to work. Quickly diagnosed the problem: a broken spring. But as he evaluated the door and saw that the door had not been maintained as it should have been and the age of the mechanics, he recommended changing out the cables and rollers. He gave us pricing for each, and for replacing the motor, too. We chose to leave the motor but do the rest. Good thing we did, turns out one of the cables had broken wires and was fraying. Not too much longer and we would have had to pay for a return visit. It took about an hour and a half and we were back in business. Instead of trying to upsell us into a new garage door, he told us that we had one of the best available and should never have to replace it. He even looked it up for us so we would know exactly what we have. He was friendly and respectful. I have had so many repair men talk down to me because I am a woman and he was completely the opposite. I felt safe having him in our home and he talked to my husband and me with the same respect and gave us time to ask questions and make our repair decisions. Precision is not the cheapest, but their work is great, their employee was happy, and there also was no additional fee for coming off hours or on a weekend. AND his van was fully equipped so there was no leaving to get parts or asking to borrow tools, like the electrician we had work at the house.

They came in exactly when they said they would, they assessed the problem quickly and fixed just as quickly. They were polite and kind the whole way through, I’d recommend them to anyone in the Akron area.

Sean came right out and provided us with all the information we needed so we could get an installation quick! Derek was quick and installing the new garage door. It looks amazing and is so quiet. Service across the board was exceptional. Thank you!
