Fantastic experience. I have a old Stanley garage door opener. The remotes needed to be programmed. They came out with in 2 hours reprogrammed my new openers. Affordable nice tech and professional.great experience@

Matt explained all that was detected during inspection. He was very upfront with what i needed from just replacing opener to making sure the garage door opened properly and was not taxing to the operation of the opener. Once installation was complete he walked through and showed everything that had been done. He was very professional and informative.

We had this company out to repair some storm damage a few years ago, so when it came time to fix something, we knew who to call. Kyler came on time, shook my hand and introduced himself. He wrote up an estimate, which I was not able to afford. He spoke with his office and was able to give me a discount that would work. He finished the repairs in an hour, cleaned up and educated me as to what was repaired. He even took the time to help remove an old security sensor. He is a wonderful representative of Precision Door.

Precision Overhead Garage Door Service was outstanding. My opener apparently broke just a day after I'd used it. Patrick from Precision came, found the problem immediately and said I did not need a new opener or expensive repairs. The lock had been engaged when someone tried to break in. He showed me how to check and fix it myself if it happened again, did a full inspection of all the opener and door components, and gave me information on all the options for repair or replacement if needed in the future. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. There was no pressure. If ever I need garage door or opener service in the future, I will call Precision. Their service surpassed my expectations and previous service experiences.

The quote I got on the phone was $85 for the visit, inspection, and labor to replace the torsion spring; plus the cost of the spring ($96-$210). The inspection was just an opportunity to try and upsell me to a quote of almost $500. So I pushed back, quoted what I was told, and provided another quote for $300. They said they would do for $295, but then told me that the do not service 9' X 9' garage doors (can't get the spring), and that they can't help me. That's fine, however they demanded their $85. Honestly, if it wasn't for my wife stepping in, there's no way Precision would have left with my $85; when I was left with nothing. So I called a local family owned company, they had the spring, were at my house in a few hours, and the door was fixed for $150. The 2 young men from Precision that came out seemed nice enough, but the company itself should maybe focus more on customer service than the dollar. I am out $85 by a bunch of crooks, and will never call, or recommend Precision Door. cc: Next Door, Yelp, Etc.

Mr. Harrison- We are sorry to hear of your negative experience. What you described in your review does not fit what Precision Garage Door of Northern Virginia stands for and strives for. Unfortunately, we do not carry springs on our trucks for a door that is 9’ in height, which is considered commercial application (not residential). This is a custom size spring that we would need to order from our distribution center. Your technician provided Good, Better, and Best recommendations/estimates based on the items that failed the safety inspection on both of your garage doors. The $295.00 quote was the minimum repair that included the service fee and the custom spring, but did not address any the additional issues. They came early but took the time to fix it right. The garage seems quiet now. It now runs like a champ. I wasn’t sure if the safety, adjustments and maintenance check counts under the job call, which was waived due to repair, but seemed like that when the lady stated the waived service call fee includes the safety and adjustment check. $69 was on the bill still...but besides that, great guy and great service.

Precision had done some work for me before so I called them - The young man, Patrick, came out and the problem was the motor - He return to the office to get equipment and came back and did an excellent job, which cause him to work later than usual - I am very please with his knowledge and work ethic. The only problem was they could not send out someone when I called - had to wait a week - which cause me not to be able to use my garage and park outside

Way overpriced for services rendered especially after making me wait all day for a technician. The tech that did finally show was knowledgeable, professional and cordial. But again, grossly overpriced. I would guess about twice what it should have cost. Shame on you Precision Door, and you should invest in a Precision timepiece.
