Re: JOB #59303879 - shocked, dumbfounded, hurt (& i'm NO snowflake!) @ the $675 parts/labor cost invoice just received pdf'd from Precision's billing dept...have used & trusted Precision 4 >20yrs. on garage door service @ my home in hawaiian grdns., ca...NEVER did Eddie Montoya, tech. w/ Precision share the TOTAL cost charged to my CC w/ me while here earlier today to assess the project!... s this project need to be IMMEDIATELY placed ON HOLD @ least pending my DUE DILIGENCE in getting COMPARATIVE BIDS from your competitors in the area... a CHARGE-BACK will be placed on my CC for the billed amount until this is discussed with management & a FINAL DECISION as to how to proceed is made by the patron/customer...thank you...

I was very pleased with the work that was done repairing my garage door. Zach Martin did an awesome job. He explained everything he was going to do before he started the work and gave me options on the cost. Besides the springs being replaced, he also pointed out that the rollers should be replaced due to wear and tear, which I did. I couldn't believe how quick and efficient Zach got the job done. I will definitely refer Precision Door Services to my friends and family.

I chose Precision because of its high rating, and others had said they were fair. The service rep came out and he was nice enough. He saw the problem immediately but insisted on "checking out" the entire door, even though I said to him, I just want the door to go up and down (it had jammed), that's it. After about 30 minutes he showed me four estimates ranging from $300 to close to $2,000. When I said no, just fix the door to go up and down, he had me sign several times to show he had explained to me the estimates, etc. wanted me to know there was no "guarantee" if I chose to just fix the door to close and open again. The charge to fix the door was $300, but he had not proceeded to fix it at this point. Twenty minutes later he was finished. He said when the door jammed, the spring tightened causing the cable to get super tight. He loosened the spring, which brought the door down then sled the cables back where they should be, then tightened the spring again, no parts were needed. $300??? Really? I am a single senior on a fixed income. When I went online to see what company others used stressing I was looking for FAIR, I didn't want to be taken advantage of, Precision was mentioned to me, so I called them, and this is the kind of service I receive? I called twice to speak with a supervisor or manager but was told I needed to speak to the billing department, but they were busy and would call me back. I called today as well, with the same end result. I called the main number, which routed me back to the same office I started with. I just wonder had they got their 5-star rating with this kind of rip-off charge?

My garage door broke (one of the springs), and the company that did the original installation doesn't appear to be in business. I remembered seeing several of your Precision Garage Door commercials, so I Google your company and called. It was a Friday, around 530pm, so I was kind of expecting to leave a message and someone would call me back on Monday. NOPE! You all have 24 hour phone service! I spoke to an actual person who was able to schedule a service tech to come on Saturday morning! The service technician was Kevin Gonzalez. He was very professional, provided me with my options, and after deciding to opt for replacing all the moving parts, he did exceptional work, and did it in a very timely fashion! I was happy with Kevin's performance! He has great work ethics, and is a great representative for your company. I will definitely use Precision Garage Door again, and I will request Kevin Gonzalez. Daniel Mesenhelter made my garage door and was late already about 9:15 pm, because that is my availability that day. When he arrived he was very respectful and professional. He know the problem and the best possible solution to my garage door problem. It was a very disappointing and exasperating experience. Precision DID NOT EXAPLAIN to us - BEFORE INSTALLATION DAY - that the chain rail of the NEW garage door opener would go across our access to the attic. As a result....we now have a NEW garage door, a NEW garage door opener, and an attic with things which HOPEFULLY we will be able to bring down through the smaller (a little over 1/2 of the original opening) opening.

I called Precision after dealing with a different company that I called to fix my garage door opener belt. The first company i called made my problem worse and ended up breaking my spring to the point i was no longer able to open or close my garage. Eric Stevens and Jose M from the Long Beach office came to my home at the timeframe I scheduled and fixed the problems the previous company had made. They were professional and worked in an efficient and timely matter as I was pressed for time. I will definitely call Precision for all of my Garage Door needs in the future.

Daniel Misenhelter was the best! He called me to let me know when he'd arrive. He arrived on time. He diagnosed stripped gears on my old opener and a failing opening spring. He explained the features and advantages of a new belt-drive opener and explained the warranty. He installed a new belt-drive opener and spring, sensors and keypad. I will present (2) catagories: Category #1: 1. Job #24040168 dated 10/22/20 - Total amount $396.93/Check 3834 I received an estimate for this job, but the customer should receive an INVOICE showing the check given the technician as a receipt. . 2. Job #24137159 dated 10/27/20 - Total amount $150.00/Check 2836 I did not receive an invoice for this job, only Pre-Job Signatures. There is nothing to show on an invoice that he received a check, and this sheet does not show a description, price or total paid. Not a good system, and it is confusing. Category #2: 1. On Job 24137159, when the plastic seal what installed on the outside of the door at the top, there we 2 things I didn't like: a. While installing the seal, he was standing on my new hose and I had to ask him to get off of it. He needs to pay attention to his surroundings. b. The Technician needed clean up after himself. He was sloppy! He left (9) nails in my driveway, and in the garage behind my car. I just bought new tires, but new or old, if I hadn't decided to sweep behind the car and driveway I would not have notice this and could have ended up with a flat tire. Sloppy again! I think I will go back to Byers & Butler Garage Door service. They give you an invoice, and handle the job simply and clean up after themselves. Laura Westoby

Precision Door just finished an "out of the ordinary" job for me installing a 22' x 8' overahead garage door with new opener, and three wall keypads on a new build garage. The door required custom design and bracing. They did an exceptional job with the execution! I worked with Olga who ran point between me, the door manufacturer, her team, and her installers. Without Olga's help, I have no doubt my experience would not have been as pleasant as it turned out. She was responsive, pleasant to work with, efficient, and knowledgeable. Her expertise proved invaluable with this oversized residential door project. She ensured all went smoothly, handle coordination of different vendors, and followed up with me and advised on scheduling at every turn. This job required expert service to pull it off, and that is what Olga and Precision provided. They did a fantastic job and I have no doubt they excel far and away on standard residential installation projects.
