The previous company that sold me a new motor a year ago had not installed heavy enough hardware to raise and lower the door. Also the door was badly in need of lubrication. He could have tried to sell me a new door, but sensing that I was on a tight budget, suggested I call when ready to replace the door and gave me a rough estimate of cost. He said the motor was fine.
