Appointment made for service the same morning and technician Chris arrived right on time. He was courteous, knowledgeable and professional in diagnosing the problem with my garage door. After providing the estimate for the repairs, he went right to work (even in terrible heat) and finished in a timely manner. He explained my new system completely and provided options I could choose. Our garage door remote had stopped working. We bought new battery but that was not the problem. Then bought new remote but again not the problem. Turned out the system needed to be replaced along with the belt, etc. It was quoted and the job was completed the very next day. A job well done!

I'd love to give them a five-star rating but trying to get any semblance of customer service has been tough. I will give this caveat: when the say they will take away everything, they mean it - whether it works or not. They replaced the wall switch for the new garage door opener they installed, which makes sense. What didn't make sense is them carting off my Wi-Fi enabled wall switch. I didn't realize they did it until after closing on Wednesday and of course yesterday was Thanksgiving. Called this morning and got "we throw out whatever is broken" and after I got escalated, I was told 'we already ran the compactor on Wednesday night'. Shucks, bad timing on my part. The entire 2-piece unit was $124 dollars and now all I have is half of a useless unit. Being retired, things like this matter to me.

Where do I start? From the first days the garage door was a blast of noise. How could it not be with all the metal parts grating each other. We got used to it and each day since 2005 the door went up and down twice. Few weeks ago it would not close. I used the manual release and once reconnected thought the worst was over. Then, the very day we were rushing for an appointment the door again would not close. This time when I used the manual release the door sprung forward with a thunderous crash. I did not see any damage, but then other than watching the door go up and down I don't know how its broke. I called Precision Garage Door and set up an appointment. Scott got here late in the day and I was hoping he could easily make the fix and we'd move on. But, no it was not that simple. The spring broke, but that was not all. Wear and tear had taken its toll demanding a door overhaul. It occurred to my wife and I that maybe we could leave the door as was and put in an extended driveway with an awning. Nah! So, we got the door fixed by Tyler the next morning. While I was hearing Tyler work it occurred to me that with each turn of the wrench our door was being restored. There was a new sound and I wondered... oh my gosh! Our door was quiet! Tyler made some adjustments and with each I had to listen carefully or I'd miss the closing and opening. An hour and a half and we were back in business! I got the 10 year warranty and feel satisfied my next call to Precision Garage Door will not be for the work they did, but for something else. In summary I am very impressed with the service and technical expertise these fellows posses. It's going to be different now that I can't hear the door go up or down from inside the house. My wife noticed how quiet the door is and she's happy, do I'm happy too!
