Keith (technician) based in Yorkville, IL is good guy. Called :20 minutes prior to arrival and was right on time. Was very courteous and friendly. Diagnosed and corrected in matter of seconds issue was having two car garage door not wanting to close without re-opening when getting half way down (aligned sensors). Was happy to pay only the service fee, as I now have insurance if issue was not resolved, Precision would come back out and fix w/no additional service fee(s) on next call (if required). Would recommend to a friend.

Glenn McCory arrived exactly when he said he would. He asked pertinent questions in order to determine the problem with the garage door. Glenn then provided several options (including costs) as to how to correct the problem. Glenn had our garage door operational in less than an hour. We have a broken spring. The service guy came out for $65 to try and sell me (2) springs for $200 a piece for a total of $465. Prior to giving him an answer, I went inside and called another company to get their quote. $283 for parts and labor rather than $465. I also called PRECISION and asked the lady who answered the phone for a quote. She said $99 - $150 per spring ballpark. When I told her what this guy was doing, she apologized but didn't ask for any information. That tells me that she was aware that the service techs go around trying to rip people off. I sent him packing with a check for $65 when he doesn't even deserve that. I hope someone rips him off in the near future. I WILL NOT be using this company ever again. Consolidated Garage Doors was able to give me an up front price on the phone and not a "ballpark" of what springs cost. Are springs like the stock market or something? Does the value fluctuate based on the day? It would be nice if the lady on the phone had offered to make things right by sending her guy back to fix the door for a fair price but what's one more day having to drag my 8 month old daughter out to the car in sub zero temperatures.

We broke the spring on our garage door on a Sunday. I looked on the internet for a repair company and found Precision. I called and within 2 hours it was fixed by a wonderful young man. He put on new springs and explained everything to my husband and I . We would highly recommend this company.
