He was super friendly, professional, and thoroughly assessed my old outdated equipment and presented all options available and cost. Everything was installed and operational within a few hours. Response to my request online and appointment was made quickly. Preston, the technician was very polite. Our home is 30 yrs old and the door was installed with 1 large spring. That spring was replaced after 15 years. Precision's policy is to put two smaller springs for safety and best performance. However that increases the cost. The service tech also recommended that our cables be replaced as well. I had to speak with Matthew, a supervisor, who was very kind and explained all the reasons. We did not feel that two springs were necessary, since the door has worked fine for 30 years with one. I was disappointed that I was going to be stuck with a $65 service fee if they didn't do the work. Matthew was able to make a deal for the one spring and cables for just $50 more than what I originally expected. I did have to sign a couple documents saying that they weren't responsible for any issues that arise since I chose not to go with two springs. The job was done quickly and time will tell. If I get 15 years out of this one I'll be more than happy. The tech was concerned about how noisy the door is, but it is no noisier than before, and well, it's 30 yrs old so. . . It's not that I wouldn't recommend this company, but I would likely use another and ask more questions about such policies before scheduling.
