Sam explained exactly why the opener could not be repaired. I was given quotes for a couple of different models but there was absolutely no pressure to purchase. Nice young man Wilkes fixed the motor but advised the springs really needed replacing because I have a very and very heavy wooden double door. While it took him longer than he had thought, Wilkes was persistent and professional. I always trust Prevision technicians.
