I broke my garage door in a freak accident when the bike I was taking down from the ceiling-mounted storage hooks caught the garage door release cord. I tried to reattach it but it didn’t engage, so I (stupidly) manually raised the door as far as it would go to try to make it engage. It did not engage, but it did slip the cables off, which resulted in the door sitting at a skewed angle and making a horrible squealing/groaning sound when I tried to move it. That’s when I gave up and called Precision. Their Google review summary said they don’t upsell and they have a 4.9 star rating, so that was enough for me (it was already after hours and my door was stuck halfway open). I called around 6:00 p.m. and reached Emily, who helped me immediately. She booked a 6:00-10:00 window and sent me a confirmation text with a ETA tracker so I’d know when the technician would be here. Kalani called me a few minutes later to confirm and showed up about half an hour after that. We talked about the situation and the condition of the door for a few minutes and he said he’d get the door back on track first and then let me know if it needs anything. About an hour later, he called me (I was at a neighborhood event down the street) and told me he got it fixed and it was done. I quickly went back and he showed me the door, it was like new! So quiet, everything works great, and he explained everything. Super nice guy, and he really knows his stuff! Truly a master of his craft. I’m out $400 for a freak accident but consider myself very lucky because it could’ve been a lot worse. When I do replace this door in the next year or two, Precision will be the first call I make!
