Regarding my post below, I would like to thank Precision Door Service for taking the time and effort to rectify my issue. They went above and beyond to correct my issue in less than 24 hours; they gave me credit for the previous motor and installed a new motor with MyQ capability. I felt valued as a customer. The technician Llana Carvahlo was awesome, she showed up on time, she was polite, respectful and very efficient. She did not leave a mess after completing the installation, which I greatly appreciated. She explained everything about the equipment and gave me the opportunity to ask questions. She made sure everything was working correctly and allowed me to maneuver the equipment before leaving. She also gave me the assurance that if anything goes wrong, or I am having any issues with the motor, I should call the office, and she will come back to check. I am very satisfied with the service I received. I highly recommend Precision Door Service and will continue using them for all my garage door needs. I used this company before and had no issues ; unfortunately , I was not that lucky this time . First of all, I was not able to get a price quote over the phone, I was told that the technician had to come out to see what the issue was before they can give me a price. I wanted to add MyQ to my elderly mother's garage opener, because she kept leaving the door open , once for 3 days when she visited friends 3 hours away , the neighbors started to worry and called the police. When the technician came she told me the motor was old and needed to be updated. I asked her how much would it cost to get it updated , and was told $1300. I explained to the technician that I would not be able to perform the service at this time because I don't have $1300 , and will call back once I have the money , I would also pay for the service call if required. The technician then proceeded to tell me that the company has another motor that is more affordable, works just as good except it does not have a built in camara or MyQ installed; I would have to purchase the MyQ equipment seperately and it will work. She even gave me a discount to convince me to perform the service, all I would pay is $700. Trusting what I was told I agreed, the new motor was installed and is working without any issue. Here is were the issue comes in, as advised I purchased the MyQ equipment, only to find out that it's not compatable with the motor in anyway and will not work. I reached out to the company several times , someone took my name and number but never called. When I finally got in contact with someone , I asked to speak with the supervisor , only to be told that there is nothing the company can do with the motor that is already installed, they cannot give me credit nor can they take it back , and I will need to purchase the $1300 motor , all they can do is give me a discount of $200. So , from the advise of their technician I wasted $700 , I know nothing about garage openers which is why I trusted what the techinician said . So with the discount of $200, if they still honor it, I will end up paying $1800 for the motor. How is this fair to me as the customer ? I did not choose the wrong motor , I was given bad advise by their technician , yet I am the only one paying for the mistake, now it will take me longer to get MyQ up because I am $700 in the hole. I am not saying Precision is a bad company or that someone sholud not use them; however, they need to ensure that the technicians going out to do installation are educated on the equipment, to prevent something like this from happening again. My advise, do your research before the technician comes out or before you agree to the installation, and DON'T believe everything he or she tells you. In the meantime while I try to gather the $1100 or 1300 , I will keep in touch with my mom's neighbors incase she leaves the door open again.

Chris Bernard did an excellent job fixing my garage door. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what the issue was and how he fixed it. He worked efficiently and made sure everything was running smoothly before he left. I really appreciated his reliability and attention to detail. Jeff Barron was great! He was punctual, courteous and gave us a detailed assessment of the problem with our door. He gave us three different options and estimates, and explained all of them very clearly. We were able to make an informed decision, choose an option and have the work completed within an hour.

My garage door decided to dieand not at a Convenient time..i called at 3 in the afternoon, they told me someone would be out to my garage by 6..my guy arrived on que..was finished in 45 min..then hooked up my car to it, gave me a discount on the bill and it works perfect..how perfect is this ...my guy was really nice and smart.
