My garage door had recently started to act differently, so I went on line to check out various service companies. Precision Garage Door Service could book an appointment for me the same day. They communicated with me via text and email, so I was happy when technician Bachir contacted me and asked if he could come early. When he arrived, he spent time examining the door and testing its operation. Then he spent time explaining to me what he'd seen, and what options he could offer. The options ranged from minor maintenance, to some parts replacements and repairs, and to installing a new operating system. Based on my budget, I asked Bachir to make the repairs, replace the spring, and replace other parts as needed. In about 3 hours he completed the work, showed me everything he'd done, and explained what signs of wear to watch out for and what to do about them. He cleaned up after his work and took the trash with him when he left. I knew the price for the work was high, but I am willing to pay a premium for professional and prompt service. The invoice charged the entire amount to the parts; I hope Bachir is well-compensated for his labor. I will call Precision Garage Door Service again when I need them, but I will probably negotiate separating parts and labor after I've researched the prices of parts beforehand so I can see what sort of markup is being charged.
