I thought that it was very over priced. One hour of service 2 springs and rollers over $800. Not what I expected, the repair person was good and nice but could not explain the pricing and bill did not clarify it.

Dear Mr. Weldon, We provided you a rebuild of your garage door. This includes replacing the counter balance system (Springs, pulleys, lift cables, safety cables, and rollers). This basically made your door system new (the only thing we didn't replace were the door sections, which were in good shape). This rebuild came with a 5-year warranty -- same as the new doors we install. The price may seem high, but most of our customers see the value when they realize they got all new parts on their door for about 1/3 of the cost of a new new and also received a new door warranty.

I just wanted to let you know the install is fantastic. However the wall mounted controller for the installed door is not working. The portable controller in my vehicle does work but not the wall mounted one. The technician will.need to return to install the second door in a few weeks so he can address this problem at that time.

I ordered through the web site and was told a price over the phone. Since I was not home and my daughter took care of this. I was surprised to find out that the belt driven opener was not installed but a chain driven one instead. I saved some money so I accepted that. The one I had was chain driven. Yet, what I didn't like was for the money. I have no button to close the door standing @ the door in the garage. If I don't have the remote. I would have to walk upstairs to push the button and open. No key pad outside at all either. That's a rip off for the money. I'm a builder and we own and build multi-family. All our doors have a key pad. I'll stick with- overhead door-Company for the next one.

Dear Mr. Tatarian, We are sorry you feel you didn't get exactly what you wanted. It looks like your daughter decided to go with just a head swap -- we only replaced the actual motor not the rail or other features. This did end up saving you over $200, but does come with significantly less features (like a key pad or extra remote). Those were add-ons with the option your daughter chose. Again, we are sorry your daughter didn't go for the option that provided the features that you wanted.

I returned from a vacation to find a broken garage door spring and door that would not open. I filled out an online appointment request, on a Sunday afternoon, requesting service on Monday. I had a phone call about 20 minutes later from the company and was able to confirm the appointment for Monday afternoon. The technician arrived on time, assessed the situation and provided the estimate. He had the parts on his vehicle and replaced the broken spring with 2 new springs, in about an hour. The overall service from this company was excellent and I won't hesitate to recommend to others and use the service again, if the need arises.

Very rude technician came here to assess the garage door opener issue. He pulled the door off the opener. Charged me $120 for some inspection that he didn’t do. I don’t have any paperwork on the problem. Then he left leaving the door open and off the opener. I had to climb up to get the door closed. Very heavy door. So much for safety. Horrible service.

We are very sorry you felt the experience wasn’t what you expected. Honestly that doesn’t sound like Mike at all. We have shared your review with Mike and discussed it in detail – trying to make it a learning experience. In addition, I looked at your paperwork and did see that Mike had done a safety inspection (the results were emailed to you at the time of the appointment, and we resent them again today). The results of the inspection showed quite a few areas that needed attention. First, the springs that were on the door were oversized. The company who put them on tried to under wind them to try to “make them fit” – they must not have had the right size springs with them. This resulted in hot and weak spots within the door movement. This also causes premature wearing on other parts as well as the motor. In addition, the rollers were worn beyond their useful life, and we also suggested upgrading a part that had a plastic bushing and rusted lift cables. Mike reviewed these with you as indicated by your signature on the estimate. I believe that is when you threw your check at Mike and said… “Thanks for nothing” before you walked in your house and slammed the door.
