My Tech, William Fletcher, called me about twenty minutes before he was going to arrive to my house, which was also earlier than scheduled, so we were off to a great start! My garage door had been hit over the weekend so not only were the springs broken, the door jamb was bent, multiple rollers were blown our and the door unit was out of plum. I was concerned this was going to be a challenging and costly repair. William was able to provide me a price for a total repair and an alternate price for an entire new door, all within 15 minutes of showing up to my house. We opted for the full repair and couldn't be happier. My wife and I are convinced the door actually works better than it did before this damage!! We'll certainly be working with Precision Door again! We had service done several weeks ago and were very pleased with the entire process. After the appointment our door opened and closed as quietly and as smoothly as it ever has since we’ve owned the home. However, this last weekend it developed a pretty loud squealing noise. Called Precision on Saturday. Colton arrived first thing Monday morning and evaluated the situation. He ended up replacing a defective bearing that eliminated the issue. From the initial online chat to schedule an appointment at my convenience to the "heads up" call on the day of service, the communication with Precision exceeded my expectations. Our tech Brett was great - he was prompt, polite, asked good questions to try to diagnose our issues and then offered options to address. We threw him a major curveball and he graciously rolled with it and ended up installing a whole new opener system that same afternoon. He walked us through everything after the install was complete, left our garage clean and there were no surprises with the final bill because he had already explained the costs before he started working. I have nothing but the highest praise to give Brett as he was here right on time and gave the problem(s) a good looking over. He diagnosed the MAIN issue quickly as one of the cables had snapped and causing the door to twist as it was being lifted by the one good cable. He also noted the rollers were very worn and suggested I replace them. He then gave me a complete job estimate so were knew what we were looking at. I signed the paperwork and he was off and getting it DONE! 20+ minutes later he had completed everything and we walked thru what he had done and showed how smoothly and without problems the door now worked. Colton was our tech yesterday to repair a problem with our garage door that would catch often when we would try to close it. This was quite concerning because it was easy to assume it closed and drive off with it open. Colton assessed the problem and demonstrated to us that the door was not balanced putting too much stress on the motor. He explained carefully and patiently to us the best way to fix the problem. He also noticed that the spring installed 4 months ago from another garage door repair shop was the wrong one. He also noted bearing wear on the two guides. We were very impressed and glad to have him repair the needed items and balance the door. What a difference! It now operates quietly and smoothly. Precision is a local franchise of local people running an operation where customer service is number one. I called this A.M. with a minor issue (bottom door seal needed adjustment) and Wm. showed up within 2 hrs. and fixed problem and checked complete installation for any issues.
