Great service! This company is extremely responsive and doesn't make you wait weeks for service. I had a serious problem with my opener/door, and they came next day. The issue wasn't cheap to resolve, but that's likely due to the previous homeowner cutting corners. A new opener with wifi was installed quickly and I love it! That was a few months ago and the opener has been great since. Recently the chain started to make some noise when opening, so I sprayed it and everything else but still the noise persisted. I placed a call and was given an appointment for the next day. A technician quickly diagnosed and addressed my issue, free of charge, and I continue to be pleased with these guys. This afternoon, Steven Thayer came to our house to repair our garage door. He was on time, courteous, neat, and very knowledgeable. He analyzed our door problem, proposed a solution, quoted us a price, and performed the repair. We were very satisfied with his work, and with his explanation of the repair when it was completed. I’m torn between giving a 2, 3, or 4 star rating due to several issues, mainly due to the day of installation. I would have given a 5 star rating until the snowball effect happened. First, I ordered both a New double wide single garage door AND a New garage door opener. Second, I received an invoice from the sales representative/ company on 2/20/23 via email (project # 18680160 / invoice estimate #18676980) for 1 amount. On the same day I received an invoice (invoice # 18691159) for $138.00 more due to using a debit/credit card. I can sort of understand - however, I don’t like it. It is what it is. I paid the invoice # 18691159 in full. Third, on the day my door was to be installed I was advised there was a problem. The door is the wrong size. The tech measured the door size however we did not know that the current door was taller than the opening. They could install the door anyway and come back later to “fix” the issue, or they can reorder the door and install it with the correct size. I’d rather have it installed right the first time. At least I don’t have to pay for a different door, nor different panels - that's a plus. Forth, I only received a $50 discount for the garage door Opener. However, there is a $100 discount for a new “single” door or $200 discount for a new “double” door. Fifth, after the installer left I received an email with a third (3rd) invoice (invoice # 18691159) for $11.10 for taxes, that was NOT on any of the other invoices. It’s not much however it is the principle of the fact. Sixth, the website states 5% off for veterans, I am a disabled veteran and asked about the discount (and there is nothing on the website saying that the 5% discount can/cannot be used in conjunction with another discount). I was told that it was not available. So I got… 3 invoices, 3 prices, one After signing the contract, the wrong size door, more waiting for another order, the need to have someone come out twice no matter what and the lowest discount of $50 when a $100/$200 discount is also available, AND No 5% discount for being a veteran (even though I ask the tech who placed the original order and was told they don’t have it any longer), and I still need to pay $11.10 for taxes that were not applied in the first place. I understand that mistakes happen however in this case mistakes have been made since the start. Lets hope things go better with the rest of the project.

I see that estimate did not calculate the processing fee and it did on the invoice and then added tax after that. This is something we will have to look into with our software provider and I thank you for bringing that to my attention. My apologies that your door was ordered the wrong size, it seems the tech went by the existing door measurements, which were initially wrong. We should have a replacement in a couple weeks for you. You should have been given the military discount so we will be sending you a refund. The $200 discount you found on the internet was not for our company. It was for a company with the same name in North Carolina. Mike will be reaching out to make sure everything goes smoothly from here out. Thank you for your patience.

I called for an estimate on a new garage door opener. The woman I spoke to set up an appointment was very nice and courteous. I was able to get an appointment the same day. The technician Anthony was very nice and took his time to explain everything to me before his work started and made sure we knew exactly what needed to be done. Wow!! Anthony communicated extremely well from the first phone call to tell me he was on his way right up to the moment he left when the job was complete. He laid out several options for us, giving us the choice of what we wanted done, on top of the broken spring which was the basis of the call.Very knowledgeable and courteous. Took the added step to reconfigure a support strut on our door. The door opens and closes as it it was brand new. Thank you again. We will be contacting Precision Door if needed/wanted in the future.

A bit more to fix than expected, however, I'm very happy with how the job turned out. originally snapped the corroded cable. needed to replace the torsion bar assembly which is what I didn't expect. The replacement is much heavier duty and the cable is heavier plus stainless steel so it should not rust out. Turned out to also need the opener which came apart with the door issue. Went from belt drive to chain drive. I was concerned about the noise of a chain drive, but the chain drive is whisper quiet. Pleasantly surprised. The door is now worry-free and reasonably priced. Great Job!!!

I was completely dissatisfied with Precision due to the repair guy Logan. When I showed him the problem with the garage door he immediately said I needed a new mother board (brain of the garage door system). He never attempted to look into the problem, which was a simple fix of the sensor being unaligned. Logan's focus was to sell me a product I didn't need he wanted me to spend $500 - $600 dollars on something that only required 10 minutes to fix. I told him price was extremely high and he preceded to hand me a bill for $85 and left me without fixing a thing. Never even tried to fix the door just replace the motor and there was no other option. I wound up watching a YouTube video and paid a friend $40 to align the sensors. Folks do your homework especially if you're a female, I felt like Logan told me anything because of my lack of knowledge. I did call the Precision's main office and spoke with one of the managers and was told I would be refunded my $85. I am still awaiting the refund they promised to return. Buyer beware.

Was a job that I didn’t want to tackle myself. I am a DYI person. Job was done well, but the cost was out of this world! Guess I need to be a DYI. I looked at the price of materials at Lowes, and I could have done it for less than $100, not $600. Cost was the issue, not the work it’s self

You chose one of the more expensive options and that does come with a 5 year warranty, which includes parts and labor. We are aware our customers can source parts themselves and do the work on their own, however business costs and labor do add the cost of doing business. We also carry parts you can't find in local hardware store. Which is why we can offer such a great warranty on our work!

Joe was prompt, very experienced, professional and courteous. In only 30 minutes, he fixed our garage door motor by replacing the "chain gear and sprocket assembly" (as I suspected was the case). He also counseled my wife and I about the advantages or replacing the old door. He showed us a brochure and was patient while we selected exactly what we wanted. We agreed, and expect that future installation will go well. Our payment went through in an instant on our Discover Card. My garage door motor/cable had broke. I had to manually lift and close the door, which I am not able to do. While some places had a two week wait, when I called Precision, I was able to get an appointment the next day or the same day! I had a new motor/keypad/remotes installed in one hour! My motor was very old and loud. The new one is so quiet and works so much better. The technician thoroughly went over everything with me and made sure I had no other questions before he left. I will surely call Precision for any future garage door needs.
